With its largest group of artist additions to date, the artist lineup for Mile of Music now stands at 170.
The festival, set for Aug. 4-7 in downtown Appleton, has unveiled 55 more artists who'll help put on the roughly 800 performances over the Mile 4 weekend. The remaining roster additions are expected in early June and should put the number of acts at more than 200.
Of the latest additions, 18 are first-time performers at Mile of Music, including Nashville artists Alaina Stacey and the duo Dave and Whitney. Another newcomer, folk singer Bobby Long, is a native of England. And with Josh Harty hailing from Fargo, North Dakota, the Mile 4 lineup now has representation from 27 states.
The group is made up mostly of Wisconsin talent, including several performers from in and around the Fox Cities. Familiar names and faces like RedHawks, Dead Horses, Frank Anderson, Rob Anthony, Marty Paschke, Eric W. Krueger, Dave LeBlanc, Eric Lives Here and Haunted Heads all will be back for another Mile of Music.
